DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

Imaginarium, 50x70, mix media

This piece offers a glimpse into the complexity of dreams, having multiple dimensions, paired with a vast exuberance of shapes and colours.
Its themes are organized like frames from a movie, placed on top of each other, as are placed inside one's subconsciousness: a chaotic reality that makes sense
In particular, different elements follow each other, like dreams within other dreams, without specific characteristics, but when do dreams have such detail?
This coincides with the concept of viewing ideas as expressionistic footprints, as seen by Plato's theory of ideas.

I was born in Athens, Greece, where I lived until I studied at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specifically at the Faculty of Fine Arts.

Besides painting, I was very interested in engraving and installations, which led me to participate in various festivals on these subjects. In the following years, my goal was to combine the techniques used in engraving with painting, starting by overpainting monotypes .

While researching this, I was absorbed by detail and the concept of “horror vaccui”. Following that, I have participated in various events and exhibitions based on obsessions.

The artwork I am currently working on, is an evolution of these ideas, combined with current events, and the general concept of mobility in life.
