DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK

This collection depicts a nightmare. Dreamer is torn by his emotions, feelings and is experiencing physical and psychological mutations and doesn‘t recognize himself in the mirror anymore. He becomes as if someone else, alien invader, stranger, attacker. His body, torn by various kinds of winds, changes. In place of eyes – dreadful empty abyss. Face is a wry expression of horror which returns to smile and then back and forth... Back and forth, like a vicious circle, a never-ending, terrific. This collection can be called a kind of mimcs game surviving a nightmare state.

ABOUT DEIMANTÄ– POVILAITYTÄ–

Deimante Povilaityte – young graphic artist from Joniskis, Lithuania. As a child she became familiar with arts by taking lessons in Arts school. She realized that the best branch of arts for her was graphics. Unfortunately, after finishing Arts school, fate had her almost completely stop drawing. But when the time came to choose what to do next in life, what university to study her heart only whispered graphics. DeimantÄ— is currently studying in Siauliai university, Art faculty, graphics.
