The Anguish of Reality
Imagine that one day you wake up and human rights violation, discrimination, social inequality, religion, war and mass destruction are just words - dark past, stains on history. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to realize, that all this no longer exist? Unfortunately, life may seem like a long-lasting nightmare, with some space to escape, full of anxiety and obscurity. ,,The Anguish of Reality” is a sort of a personal dream, presented in a pictorial form; a collage of personally visited places and captured views mixed with ideas and feelings. This ironic collection reveals an inconvenient truth and absurdity of life.

ABOUT INGA GOŠTAUTAITÄ–

Inga GoštautaitÄ— - graphic artist. Was born in 1992, in Siauliai, Lithuania. Studies graphic arts in Siauliai University, Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts. Participates in various art projects and group exhibitions.
The main object of inspiration is human being. Artist analyzes and criticizes humanity management methods, depicts mental and physical conditions of a person in the surrounding external world and constantly changing inner world, looks for a purpose of existence. Open compositions, used cold colors and various mutations, deformations and metamorphoses of subjects dramatize the chosen themes. Artist likes to experiment: combines various fine art techniques, uses different types of materials. Lately she is creating photo manipulations.
